Beyond Hello is another company using SASSIE. SASSIE has become more and more popular in the industry…that is a good thing because of its simplicity. I have completed numerous assignments with Beyond Hello and have never had any problems. Beyond Hello specializes in retail stores, and they have several purchase returns. Here is a word about purchase returns.
Purchase returns are when the shopper makes a purchase at a location then returns the purchase for a refund within a specified time. Guidelines for purchase returns vary widely….sometimes the return is optional, and sometimes it’s required. Sometimes the returns can be made within just an hour, sometimes it requires waiting a day, so be sure to read the guidelines carefully.
Because purchase returns require shoppers to visit the location twice, there is usually extra pay in them. Purchase returns are not my favorite thing to do, but I do shop purchase returns and have found one great advantage to them….the non-required return shops are a great way to get gifts and personal things. For example, one shop I did for Beyond Hello was a big “kitchen” retailer. The shop paid $15.00, and the return portion was optional. The location carried a small appliance I wanted, and the cost was $22.00. So, by shopping the location without returning the item, I was able to get what I wanted for $7.00.…not bad (cost of appliance less my $15.00 pay)…If I am going to do something like this, I make the shop and “extra” shop for the day, so it doesn’t take away from my actual daily income….it’s just more like, ummm…shopping…lol.
I want to mention a couple other things you will find on their site.
First is KSS…KSS is Kern Scheduling. KSS is one of the larger independent scheduling company in the industry, and they do an enormous amount of work for several companies. Lori Kern is the founder, and she has built the company to where I see them almost everywhere anymore. They are doing some scheduling for Beyond Hello. If you complete any assignments for Beyond Hello that are scheduled through KSS, this will get you into KSS’s system, and you begin receiving email offers for other assignments.
The other thing I want to mention that is on their site are certain shops that have a higher pay in lieu of reimbursement. I wish all shops could do this. Most shops will have a shopper pay plus a maximum reimbursement amount. For example, say I shop a pharmacy and the shop pay is $9.00 plus “up to” $4.00 reimbursement for a total of $13.00. At the location, I’ll want to take full advantage of my $4.00 reimbursement amount…and I recommend everyone do the same. Let’s say, once I’m at the pharmacy, I notice they carry my favorite shampoo. It will most likely be more expensive than if I were to buy it at Target, the grocery store, or some other larger location. Though I’m getting the shampoo free, look at how it would work if the shop pay was a flat $13.00 with a purchase requirement but no reimbursement. I would purchase something like a $.50 roll of toilet paper, and purchase shampoo at a larger location where it is less expensive…probably by a dollar. So, now, I would have a roll of toilet paper, a bottle of shampoo, and the shop pay would equal $9.50 rather than $9.00.
Keep in mind, things will average out with this industry…One shop might pay $4.00 but require an $11.00 purchase in gas, another shop might pay $15.00 pay but have no purchase requirement, and another shop might have $13.00 shop pay, but require a $3.00 purchase.

From their home page, click on “Prospective Shopper”
Click on “New Shopper” this will take you to SASSIE.
Now, once registered on SASSIE…within a short period of time, possibly the first login time, shoppers will be prompted to fill out the “extended profile”….this is common with SASSIE, but with Beyond Hello, there will also be a short writing analysis…5-10 sentences.
I looked this morning…there were about 1,700 shops in the US. There were also about 200 shops in Canada…then, there were a hand full of shops in Antigua/Barbuda and Barbados. They also show the US Virgin Islands, so it’s possible shops appear in this area from time to time.
